Lessons From The Gabriel Method

I want to share something with you today that I believe is one of the most powerful messages you’ll ever hear about losing weight.

Have you heard about the Gabriel Method yet? I assure you it’s not another fad diet or “get thin quick” method.

What it is though is something that can change the way you look at weight loss forever.

You know I’m always getting on my soapbox telling you how diets don’t work. It’s true they really don’t. I’m 100% certain of that fact about that because I’ve spent years learning how the human body functions. But you know what I owe you a big apology.

The Importance Of Your Mindset In Seeing Results…

I spend a lot of time teaching about how food and exercise affects the hormonal systems in your body but I don’t spend nearly enough time teaching you about the role your mind plays. This has been a big mistake on my part -until now.

I can teach you all day long about how your body works and what you need to do to increase your metabolism but unless you make the right mindset shifts I’ve only given you information.

There’s no power with information or knowledge unless you apply it. What you really need is empowerment…I’ve got to teach you how to help yourself.

The Secret Of Empowerment From A Positive Mindset…

Here’s the deal…there’s no question that losing weight is all about your mindset. It’s about beliefs and what your mind is actually telling your body.

This brings me to the Gabriel Method. I found out about it recently after listening to an interview on the radio. It was from this fellow by the name of Jon Gabriel. The interview blew me away.

The cool thing was he didn’t talk in scientific terms or try to impress you with his knowledge during the interview. He just talked to you like a friend would sharing his story of how he lost an amazing 225 pounds without dieting!

What Was Jon Gabriel’s Secret To Losing 225 Pounds?

Something very powerful called visualization. He learned after countless attempts with dieting that he was fighting a losing battle by trying to restrict himself from “bad foods” all the time.

Jon discovered the whole concept of dieting was all wrong not only from a physical standpoint but from a psychological standpoint as well.

He found that his body wanted to be fat and unless he changed that very important reality nothing would change. You see there were reasons deep inside Jon’s psyche that made him think and act the way that he did. It affected how he looked at food, at exercise, and the way he felt about his body.

The point I’m trying to make (which as you can see from the video is the main component of the Gabriel Method book) is that unless you change your belief systems you’re not going to see much of a change in your body.

Your body will always be in line with your subconscious thoughts. What Jon did was work by taking baby steps every day on changing what his mind was telling his body and the results were nothing short of astounding.

The Use Of Visualization In Reaching Your Weight Loss Goals…

He did all this through active visualization. This is nothing more than telling your subconscious mind what your body is supposed to look like and how it’s supposed to feel. It’s about changing the message your mind sends your body.

Did he exercise?

Of course. Did he change the way he ate? Sure he did…but it was the way he did it that was so important.

I could talk to you all day about how this works and the way to go about it but I figured Jon can do a much better job of that than I can. He’s been there…walked the walk and experienced it himself. He’s written a great book on this called “The Gabriel Method” that I would strongly encourage you to read.

If you’ve struggled with weight loss the principals he teaches in this book can change your life. It’s really that powerful.
