Distilled Water – Healthy or Harmful

I was listening to a podcast this morning from IronRadio; Episode 319 – Topic Gym Etiquette Revisted, just in case anyone would like to listen. They were discussing the reasoning behind someone carrying around a gallon jug of water in the gym. It piqued my interest since I am in the process of prepping for a competition in about 3 weeks and my diet coach has me drinking 1.5 gallons of water per day.

So as I was listening to one of the commentators say that if someone needed to carry around a gallon jug while in the gym, then they would probably be in the middle of a contest prep and would be drinking distilled water temporarily. I began surfing the web to get more info on this topic and perused several articles on various bodybuilding websites claiming the pros and cons of drinking it pre-contest due to the water’s ability to dry you out. I also read this article which I thought was interesting .
