Charleston Personal Training Success Story- Julia V.

I want to recognize Juila VanDame for being the latest Shaping Concepts “Client Of The Month.” In her first month on our programs she has lost 15 pounds and made significant progress towards reaching her goals. Way to go Julia! We’re all very proud of you.

Mandy recently sat down with Julia for a video interview and there were some golden nuggets of information she shared on the secret to her success.

One of the things we strive to do differently here at Shaping Concepts is provide our clients with personal coaching, education, and support. The fitness instruction and motivation with workouts is really only one piece of the puzzle.

This is what Julia had to say…

“It’s been a combination of things. It’s not just coming in to workout. It’s the fact there are guidelines with what you should eat, it’s about the education along with the support.

Everybody knows me here. I come in and the trainers encourage me and they’re uplifting. They all encourage me to be the best me that I can be and try my hardest which has been a huge benefit.

I’ve given it 110%. Doing everything that has been requested with my diet and nutrition. You put in as much as you want to get out of it. It was an adjustment for sure, the first week or two it was tough because it is a huge lifestyle change.

But now that I’ve gotten into it and I’ve really structured my lifestyle around what my body and my health needs it’s not been hard…it’s been fun. This is my time now, which has been awesome.”

I’ve got to give Julia all the credit because she really has worked hard and given it 110%. She’s absolutely right that you put in as much as you want to get out of it. All the coaching, support, and education in the world won’t produce a thing unless the individual on the receiving end puts forth the commitment and action.

Julia has been consistent with doing cardio both on the days she works out and off days which is one of the main reasons why she was able to lose 15 pounds in the first month. I have no doubts she’ll reach her end goals with that kind of commitment and dedication. Keep up the good work Julia!
