Backyard Workouts

There’s a new way to workout! A fun, fast, and very effective way to exercise is just seconds away in your backyard. I know what you’re thinking…”I don’t have a gym in my backyard, I don’t have any weights, and most importantly I don’t know what to do.”

Yes, it’s really true. I’m here to tell you that you can get an intense, calorie burning, fat shedding, and muscle toning workout right in your own backyard with little to no equipment. And don’t worry I can teach you how to do everything.

Backyard workouts are the best way to work out by yourself when you don’t have the time, money, or you simply hate the gym scene. Not only do you not have to spend money for a gym membership or a personal trainer, you don’t need to spend a ton of dough on equipment either.

By simply utilizing your own body weight along with a few items you can find around the house, you can attain your fitness and weight loss goals all without spending money or going to the gym. 

Whether your goal is to lose a few pounds or improve your sports performance there’s a backyard workout that I can come up just for you.

When you do the exercises in a backyard workout you’ll be utilizing your own body weight in a very functional manner. It’s all about exercising your body in the ways that you move each and every day, not sitting down and watching TV like you would in a health club.

While performing the backyard workouts you’ll be using your upper body, lower body and core all at the same time. This is very different than using the machines in the gym. I’m very much against using traditional machines most of the time because the machine does a lot of the work for you. I prefer to let the human body do the work, the way it was designed to.

Nobody wants to spend hours at the gym. Another benefit of this style of a workout is that you are outside! What better workout setting than to be out in the sun with the wind to cool you down when you get hot?

Even on the days when it’s nasty outside, you can still move into the garage or anywhere you can get a few feet of space and have a great workout. 

These backyard workouts never get boring because the options are limitless. Machines in a gym are made for one exercise, and one exercise only. When you perform functional exercises, working the way that the human body moves, you can do thousands of exercises.

All you need is an understanding of how the human body moves and a crazy imagination…which I have!

I’m going to be releasing my backyard workout DVD’s very soon and be on the lookout for exercise video clips starting next month. I’ll be sharing with you the workouts I create in my own backyard as well as all around Charleston in hopes it will inspire you to do the same.

There’s so many different ways and places to exercise outside. I just love it and I know you’re going to love it to. We’ll get a little crazy, but who cares? It’ll give the neighbors something to talk about.  Until next time.
