
If you’ve followed my writing you’ll know that I’m not a huge supplement guy. There are individual cases where someone can greatly benefit from additional vitamins and minerals but in most cases you just need to eat more whole, natural, live foods. That’s why I’m such a big proponent of a Primal Blueprint diet.
When you eat natural foods you feed muscle and when you eat processed-refined foods you feed fat. It’s pretty much that simple. The catch is I’ve found it to be difficult always staying perfect with a Primal Blueprint diet. That’s why I depend on supplementation to help fill in the gaps. Traveling for work, holidays, and being on the road in general doesn’t have to throw you off track with your fitness routine. The beauty of functional exercise is that it can be done anywhere with little or no equipment and with minimal time. With Thanksgiving only a few days away and Christmas right around the corner I figured it would be a good idea to give you some tips on how to avoid holiday weight gain. Not only will you have to deal with diet challenges with traveling you’ve also got the temptation to overeat at holiday meals. The average thanksgiving dinner will contain over 3000 calories and when combined with snacking and other meals through the day it’s not uncommon to consume over 4500 calories.
