Dr. Marvin Arnsdorff DC

Honored nationally as the 1999 and 2006 Chiropractor or the Year, Dr. Marvin Arnsdorff is a board-certified chiropractor who has served in private practice in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina since 1986. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, the emphasis of his work has been focused on difficult disorders of the back and neck, scoliosis, spinal disc rehabilitation and the biomechanics of the spine and skeletal system. Dr. Matt Murrin DC

Dr. Murrin is a native of Newfoundland, Canada. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, where he also served as professor in exercise physiology while pursuing a Master’s degree. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced for several years in Indianapolis, Indiana before coming to Mount Pleasant. He is the first wellness professional in Mount Pleasant certified in Active Release Technique (ART). In addition to being a chiropractor, Dr. Murrin is also a Professional Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant (PFLC), the highest level of personal trainer in North America. As a result, he can make recommendations on simple changes in diet and exercise routines that help patients optimize their results toward total wellness. Louisa Storen LISW, LMFT

Louisa has been a psychotherapist for over thirty two years working in both medical and mental health settings until she began private practice full time 26 years ago. Her practice mostly involves work with adults and her speciality is relationship work (marital therapy). Her appraoach is based on the seminal research which has evolved in the past twenty two years. Her philosophy is to focus on the ways a couple is competent, building on their strengths rather than emphasizing the "pathology" of the family system. Her goal is to give couples effective skills to enhance communication, friendship and intimacy in brief therapy. Often great strides can be made in as little as six sessions.

Dr. Paul Kukes

Dr. Paul Kukes graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. In 2008, he was accepted to the National University of Health Sciences in Illinois to study for his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.

While attending National, Paul worked as an anatomy teacher's assistant and privately tutored hundreds of students in head and neck anatomy lab. He also worked with the advanced rehabilitation courses as an assistant, utilizing his knowledge from his training background. This experience allowed Dr. Kukes to work at Benedictine University with many collegiate athletes including, baseball, football, and track. In December of 2011 Dr. Kukes achieved one of his goals by becoming a full body certified Active Release Technique (ART) provider.

After graduating from National, Paul and his wife, Abby, moved from Chicago to Mt. Pleasant, SC to open Elite Health Solutions with his fellow classmate, Dr. Karpinsky. Currently he serves as a community member on the Wando High School Improvement council but looks forward to getting involved with the local community to help it grow and prosper. Matt Lee PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS

A Mount Pleasant resident since 2007, Matt recently joined Atlas Physical Therapy with the opening of the Mount Pleasant clinic. Matt earned his Master of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 2005 and has practiced Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy since. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His special interests include joint and soft tissue mobilization techniques, sports physical therapy, and general health and fitness promotion. Matt enjoys low country living with his wife Misha, daughter Caroline, and dog Killian. He enjoys collegiate and pro sports, local outdoor activities, and playing rugby with the Charleston Outlaws Rugby Football Club.

Dr. John Graham

Dr. John Graham Jr. specializes in the evaluation and treatment of sports injuries and in knee and shoulder surgery. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and completed both his medical degree and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Graham is the team physician for the College of Charleston and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He is a practicing orthopedic physician and surgeon at Orthopedic Specialists of Charleston.

Dr. John R. Marino DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Marino is board certified in Podiatric Surgery. He graduated with a BS in Biology and minor in Political Science with an emphasis in International Studies from the College of Charleston. Dr. Marino earned his degree as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Temple University and completed his surgical residency at Crozer-Keystone Health System in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

He specializes in foot surgery with an emphasis on forefoot reconstruction. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a member of the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Marino practices at Palmetto Podiatry in Mt. Pleasant.

Dr. Gina Courson is a chiropractor who received her undergraduate degree in business from the University of Georgia and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta. Dr. Courson is certified in physiological therapeutics and cold laser therapy. She has practiced in Mt. Pleasant SC for 11 years and shares two offices with her husband. Julie Baker, PhD, CCC-SLP

Dr. Julie Baker received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Central Florida. She then earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Baker moved to Charleston to complete a post-doctorate fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has published twelve articles and presented at numerous conferences on topics focusing on neurorehabilitation utilizing behavioral treatment, brain imaging, and brain stimulation. Dr. Baker holds a South Carolina State Speech-Language Pathology License, as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology credential from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her clinical expertise includes aphasia, apraxia of speech, dementia, dysarthria, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Baker recently opened Headway Rehabilitation located in North Charleston. Headway Rehabilitation is a therapy center that specializes in speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing services for adults and teens.
